Description: Occupying a vacant lot at the center of the main sweep of rowhouses that form the heart of the Fulton Ferry Historic District, this new infill project will re-establish the integrity of the block. The design intends to re-create the façade of the house that once occupied the site, and includes a set back penthouse floor. The project requires approval from NYC’s Board of Standards and Appeals to allow for residential use rather than the manufacturing use as current zoning requires.

Description: Characterized by a monumental oriel window on it’s brownstone façade, this single family brownstone in Manhattan’s Harlem neighborhood dominates it’s end of the block. The interior will be reconfigured and upgraded to include a new kitchen and dining floor.

Description:Three separate single family dwellings are contained within this ornate building constructed in 1902 as a nurses’ dormitory. Two new entryways are added at each end of the building off of small gardens and a new roofscape allows each new house access to private roof gardens.

Description: The design of a new house on this very narrow site just outside of Park Slope’s Historic District, was approached as though it was within the district. Custom molded brick around the windows, an upper story setback from street views, a stoop and areaway are essential elements that make up this contemporary townhouse.
